For foreign nationals the following steps need to be completed:
- Please pre-register at the indico page as soon as possible. Please note that pre-registration does not require payment of the registration fee.
- Meanwhile, we will obtain approval from the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), which requires a rough estimate of the number of foreign participants.
- The application for a conference visa to the Indian missions must accompany an invitation letter, approval from the DAE, and a clearance letter from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), India.
- We will apply for the clearance letter and for that we require
- A copy of the front page of your passport
- The filled-up form (Annex II which can be downloaded from the 'Overview' page).
Please send these to radcor25@niser.ac.in. In this email, you may also provide the details of the consul to whom we should address your invitation letter.
- Once we obtain your details through the form (Annex II), we will go ahead to obtain prior permission from the MEA, India, and will notify you once we receive it. We expect this step to take around 6 weeks. Hence, we request you to complete the pre-registration at the earliest.
- After we receive the permission, we will send it to you and you may go ahead with your application for a conference visa to enter India.
